The Journey with Our Bal Ganesh

The Journey with Our Bal Ganesh

Update: 2025-09-03 12:30 GMT

When a child folds his tender hands before Shri Ganapati, it is not a mere gesture – it is the awakening of shraddha (devotion).

When those little palms shape clay into the form of Bappa, they are unknowingly imbibing sahan-shakti (patience) and srishti-shakti (creative energy).

And when the family gathers to celebrate, the child witnesses the eternal lessons of sahakarya (teamwork), samarpan (gratitude), and samskar (values). This is the third year that we have been blessed to welcome Shri Ganapati into our home. With my son also stepping into his third year and beginning his journey into education, I felt inspired to create a miniature replica of his pre-school. Through this, he can relate to Bappa not just as the remover of obstacles, but also as the divine teacher of wisdom (Vidya-Pradayaka).

Every detail of the décor has been handcrafted with devotion and diligence – a humble offering from my hands and heart. Being a teacher of Mathematics, I know that numbers, proportions, and precision have their own sanctity. In this sacred task, I merged calculation with creativity, discipline with bhakti, and structure with spirit – just as Bappa himself teaches us balance in life.

On this auspicious Ganesh Chaturthi, I bow to Vighnaharta and pray that He blesses all little Ganesh-bhakts with wisdom, purity of thought, and strength of character. May every child’s learning be illuminated by His divine light, and may every home be filled with His grace.

Ganapati Bappa Morya!
